Description: 1971 Johnny Unitas Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters 10K gold medal. Gold medal/medallion has "Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters" text around the edge surrounding a tasteful design which is accented with a small diamond. The back is engraved "John Unitas April 21, 1971" above a "10K" hallmark. A period newspaper account relays that he received the award "honoring an outstanding Pennsylvania native..." at a dinner held that night. Unitas had just lead the Baltimore Colts to a Championship in Super Bowl V. The piece weighs (1.1) ounces with a hint of light wear.
