Description: Rare New York Yankee's "AL Champions" mascot bank by Gibbs-Conner c.1955. Porcelain figural bank done in similar in style to the more commonly found version however raised numbers/lettering (reading "1955" - twice - and "AL Champions") was added by the maker to commemorate the 1955 season. Stands 7" tall with little to no mentionable wear however there is a small flaw which crosses over the slot on top of baseball which occurred at the time of manufacture (it appears under the paint/glaze) and is noted for accuracy.
