Description: Roberto Clemente professional model baseball bat c.1969-72 (PSA "GU 8.5"). Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Clemente facsimile signature in the barrel measures 36" long and weighs 38.7oz. Model number "G105" is factory stamped in the knob which has a vintage "21" notation in now faded black marker. As relayed in the accompanying PSA letter the "bat is uncracked and shows evidence of excellent use. A few ball and ball stitch marks are visible on the left barrel...The left barrel has also been lightly scored, which is a perfect Clemente use characteristic." A highly desirable game bat dating to a span in which Clemente finished within the top (10) hitters in the National League every season hitting .312 at his worst and an impressive .352 at best. He would garner All-Star selections every year from 1969 to 1972 and added (4) more Gold Gloves to his career tally in recognition of his play on the other side of the plate.
