Description: 1959 Frank Sullivan Boston Red Sox professional model home jersey. Cream colored flannel has "Red Sox" team name across the front and number "18" on back. A "Tim McAuliffe" tag is on the front tail along with year ("59"), size ("48"), and custom hem ("L") tags. The sleeves were custom modified at the time of manufacture with the underarm areas not affixed, presumably to allow for a greater range of movement. In fine overall condition with light evident use and a hint of age related wear. Please note that the buttons are of two different styles suggesting that either (1) at the top or all others below may have been replaced. Sullivan played with the Red Sox from 1953-1960 and happened to be with the club with Norman Rockwell painted his famed work, "The Rookie" in which he can be seen in the background.
