Description: 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers "We Salute You...Champs" banner. Cloth banner was handmade in the period with "We Salute You Dodgers 1947 Champs" block lettered on in blue paint. The piece measures 33"x33" square and has scattered staining/spotting, minor fraying, and some loss the lettering throughout. The 1947 Dodgers season was historic with the newly integrated team, now including Jackie Robinson, claiming the National League title en route to a World Series matchup against their cross-town rival Yankees.
