Description: Fine 1976 Dick Allen autographed Philadelphia Phillies professional model road jersey (SGC/Grob: Superior). Highly desirable all original powder blue jersey has "P" team logo on the left front chest and number "15" on the right. Number also appears on back below an "Allen" nameplate. Original "Philadelphia 76" and "National League Centennial" patches are on the left and right sleeves, respectively. In the collar is an "Allen" embroidered strip tag and an additional on the front tail reads "44 76 Set 2" denoting size, year, and set number. Wilson tag is above (likewise noting size). Signed "Dick Allen" in the collar in marker rating 8 out of 10. In outstanding overall condition with strong use and wash wear evident throughout. Allen was one of the most feared hitters of the 1960s and early 70s collecting (351) homeruns during his (15) year career including League Leading totals in 1972 and 1974. He remains something of a cult hero in Philadelphia and Phillies retired his number "15" in 2020. One of the nicest Phillies game jerseys dating to the 1976 season which we seen or offered. Originally obtained by a collector who received items directly from players and team employees in the period.
