Description: 1963 Johnny Unitas Baltimore Colts playbook. Original playbook issued by the Baltimore Colts for the 1963 season is comprised of approx. (100) pages of mimeographed/printed plays, schedule, rules/guidelines, and other team related information. Much of this is separated by the original dividers and all pages have holes punched along one edge. There are areas throughout in which Unitas has handwritten notes and in a few cases added to or drawn plays. The back of one sheet of rules is near completely filled with additional handwritten guidelines which were sent down from the League office. The Colts went 8-6 in 1963 and Unitas threw for (3,481) yards (the most of his career) and (20) touchdowns. Mild general handling and storage wear with some light toning. A rare and desirable career era piece related to one of the finest quarterbacks the game has ever known.
