Description: 1961 Johnny Unitas Outstanding Athlete of Pennsylvania award. Large figural trophy as presented to Unitas by the Pennsy Family Club in recognition as the "Outstanding Athlete of Penna." for 1961. Walnut wooden plinth style body having brass columnar supports with several ornamental players and football finial. Trophy stands 25" tall with some light to moderate general surface wear and repair to figural player (later replacement figural) at top from breaks at the ankles and one hand. Impressive sizing and display qualities dating to the prime of Unitas' career. Includes letter of provenance from the Unitas family: VG-EXEstimated Price Range: ($750-$1,500)
