Description: Rare 1938 Eddie Joost American Association All-Star satin uniform. Uncommon Red, white, and blue satin uniform as issued to Joost for use in the 1938 American Association All-Star Game played in Toledo, OH on July 14, 1938. Matching jersey and pants retain original Wilson manufacturer's labels along with "Eddie Joost" chain stitched strip tags. "AA" with star logo in blue felt applique found on the breast area of the shirt with matching "3" on back. Uniform exhibits evident use throughout retaining brilliant original color. Signed by Joost in black sharpie across front of jersey. Joost participated in the All-Star Game along with several other future MLB players most notably a San Diego native by the name of Ted Williams. Very rare satin material construction which was utilized to reflect the bright lights of the nighttime game and again were used in the Major Leagues, briefly, during the early 1940s period.
