Description: Chicago American Giants team photograph c.1910s (PSA/DNA Type III). Sepia tone approx. 3.5"x5" photograph showing uniformed members of the powerhouse Negro League team seated on the bench in a packed stadium. Members of a marching band can be seen on the field to their right suggesting that it was a notable game. Professionally removed from a scrapbook with some resulting mild wear and there are a few handwritten notations on back (including 1918-19 date and reference to Schorling Park) and an "E3259" stamp. Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA and noted as "Type III" and interestingly when viewed under magnification it is evident that the negative was reversed prior to printing (team logos are backwards and on the wrong side of players' chest): GDEstimated Price Range: ($1,000-$2,000)
