Description: Rare Bruce Smith attributed autographed Buffalo Bills professional model football helmet c.1997. Riddell AF-2 helmet with team logo decals on each side, and NFL shield decal above the Bills bumper pad on the back. Smith signed the helmet in black marker. Signature rates 8 out of 10. Evident light to moderate use is visible to exterior of helmet including scratches and some scattered scuff marks. 1997 recertification sticker is inside the helmet. The helmet is consistent with the style worn by Smith during the time period and appears to have the player numeral decals removed during re-conditioning. The helmet was obtained by a former high-ranking executive from a sports entertainment company that had many interactions and relationships with numerous athletes. Smith is universally regarded as one of the finest defensive ends in the history of the game earning election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
