Description: 1990 Johnny Unitas "Bobby Layne Award." Presentational plaque measures (11"x17") with "The Bobby Layne Award" titling across the top. Mounted below are metal placards which have printed likenesses of Layne and the Football Hall of Fame, text reading "Presented only to Championship Hall of Fame Quarterbacks", and the name "Johnny Unitas." A pair of letters which were sent to Unitas along with the award (and accompany the piece) include one from Layne's widow and the other from the Hall of Fame's then Executive Director relaying the history of the award and listing former recipients.
