Description: 1964 Johnny Unitas Pro Bowl Most Valuable Player Award (Third Career Pro Bowl MVP). Fine presentational figural trophy given to Unitas as co-MVP of the 1964 Pro Bowl (back) along with teammate Gino Marchetti (lineman). The game was played in Los Angeles before a crowd of over 67,000 with George Halas returning to coach the Western League team for his firs (and final) Pro Bowl appearance since 1942. Three tier walnut wooden base having columnar center body with intricate brass reticulated decor inset within and large brass figural football at top. Inscribed brass placards on base, "Johnny Unitas Baltimore Colts" and "George S. Halas Trophy All Star Pro Bowl Player of the Game 1964". Superb overall condition with only minor general surface wear. Includes letter of provenance from the Unitas family: EX-EX/MTEstimated Price Range: ($1,500-$3,000)
