Description: 1974 Johnny Unitas "Greatest Quarterback in the History of Football" award. Presentational plaque (8"x10") has a metal plate affixed to the front which has an etched portrait likeness of Unitas at the top. Text below reads, "Greatest Quarterback in the History of Football, Presented to Johnny Unitas CBS-TV Sportscaster, from New York Athletic Club November 21, 1974." Unitas had retired after a stint with the Chargers in 1973 and by 1974 was appearing on CBS as a color commentator for football games. Little mentionable wear however there is (1) tiny ornamental piece missing from the lower right of applied metal portion.
