Description: 1959 Baltimore Colts "World Champions" Sterling Silver tea service (4 pieces) presented to Buddy Young. The 1959 NFL Championship Game was rematch of the 1958 affair with the Colts once again meeting the Giants to play for the title. Baltimore would come out on top winning 31-16 behind the stellar play of a power packed roster. Buddy Young had been a member of the team from 1953 to 1955 and when his playing days ended he joined the front office. For his role as an executive he was awarded this presentational tea service. Comprised of (4) pieces including a lidded pitcher (approx. 11" tall), creamer, sugar bowl (with lid), and serving tray (12" across). Each piece has an engraved team logo and text reading "1959 World Champions" and the tray has the name "Buddy Young" below. All have a "Gorham Sterling" hallmark on the underside.
