Desirable grey flannel vest style jersey as worn by the legendary Pirates manager retaining its original "Pirates" team name across the front with #40 on the reverse. Proper MacGregor tagging found inside the collar with "Set 1 1962" flag tag inside the tail front. Jersey presents in fine original condition with appropriate evident use and age wear. Murtaugh ranks as one of the more significant managers in Pirates team history guiding them to World Championships in 1960 and 1971 in addition to compiling more then 1,000 wins in Pirates uniform.
