Description: Ty Cobb signed hand-written note dated 1959 with related papers (EX). Includes a Ty Cobb signed hand-written note dated 5/24/59 on a 4 1/2"x7" piece of "Tyrus R. Cobb" stationary. The note, which is written in typical green ink, is addressed to a Mrs. Sullivan and reads "Think you will find the enclosed record is what you want. Johnson Spink as you see is responsible for the research in finding Carrick's record. With kindest regards, I am, Sincerely Ty Cobb". Signature and writing rate 9 out of 10. Also includes the Carrick record sheet that Cobb refers to in the letter as well as a typed letter from The Sporting News addressed to Ty Cobb. And the original mailing "Tyrus R.
