Description: Roger Maris & Hank Aaron dual-signed baseball with Babe Ruth secretarial signature on sweet spot (VG/EX). The offered Reach E.S.Barnard official American League baseball features three signatures (two authentic, one secretarial) of some of baseball's greatest players who once held a home run record. The sweet spot features a stong Babe Ruth secretarial signature which rates 8 out of 10. The top panel is signed by Roger Maris in blue ink. His signature rates 6/7 out of 10. The left panel is signed by Hank Aaron. His signature rates 8/9 out of 10. The ball was shellacked after the Ruth secretarial signature was added. Some of the shellack coating was removed to provide an area for Maris and Aaron to sign (Maris signed over an uneven area of shellack, while Aaron signed over a mainly bare area). Ball exhibits minimal wear otherwise and displays very well. Includes a late 1970s newspaper article that interviews the original owner of the ball. Within the article, the original owner descibes how he obtained the ball and how he was able to get Maris's sgnature in person, and how he planned on getting Aaron's signature.
