| Description: Leo Durocher original large format illustration artwork by Williard Mullin as published in 1948 Sporting News (EX) Large 16"x22.5" heavy paper stock artwork featuring Leo Durocher as he was re-instated in his role as Manager of the Brooklyn Dodgers fielding a slew of questions from reporters with a "No Comment" sign handing around his neck. Wear (including some chipping/tears) is largely confined to edges would not be visible under matting when framed for display. Central portion has some very small/isolated areas of staining/discoloration. Several publication notations (not in Mullins) hand around the perimeter. Includes original January 14, 1948 page from The Sporting News showing the illustration in print (yellowed with chipping at edges: EX ($250-$500) |
