Description: 1958 Topps set (494) with SGC-graded Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris RC. Popular 1950s set is known for its large selection of Hall of Famers and All-Star subset, with most in the offered lot of the lower-grade variety. Two cards have been graded by SGC: #s 47 Roger Maris RC (SGC 2.5 GD+) and 150 Mickey Mantle (SGC 1.5 FR). Other ungraded key cards grade as follows: #s 1 Ted Williams (FR), 5 Willie Mays (PR; pencil mark), 30 Hank Aaron white name (PR; pencil mark), 52 Roberto Clemente white team (GD), 187 Sandy Koufax (GD+; stain on reverse), 285 Frank Robinson (GD+), 307 Brooks Robinson (GD), 310 Ernie Banks (PR; pencil mark); 343 Orlando Cepeda RC (GD), 370 Yogi Berra (PR; pencil mark); 418 Mickey Mantle/Hank Aaron (VG), 485 Ted Williams AS (VG), 486 Willie Mays AS (VG OC) and 487 Mickey Mantle AS (VG+). Balance of the set, housed in pages and a binder, appears mostly GD-VG. Range: PR-VG/EX, including numerous cards with pencil or ink marks on the fronts or backs.
