Description: Harold Dade boxing prize belt, trophy, scrapbook, and other material. Includes prize belt which has a metal buckle that is enamel lettered "112 LB Class" and there is a mounted medallion reading "Amateur Athletic Union of The United States MDCCCLXXXVIII." Belt measures 33"x3" with some mild wear; large wooden trophy with metal appointments including a placard indicating that is was awarded to Dade when he won C.Y.O. Boxing Championships at Soldier Field on September 17, 1941. A pair of figural boxers are included but have broken off a platform which sits at center of the base; a large Dade related scrapbook kept by either himself or his family containing letters, photos, newspaper/publication clippings, and other/similar pieces. In addition, there are additional Dade related loose photographs and publication pages, and other ephemera. In all this is a very nice and sizable group which includes some interesting photography. There are a number of images which appear to be signed to Dade by lesser known boxers (we can not confirm authenticity of these signatures). Varying degrees/types of wear throughout: PR-EX
