Description: Ebbets Field contact photograph - a rare image dating to Opening Season c.1913(PSA/DNA Type I). Sepia toned approx. 3.25"x4.5" photograph offering a crisp view of Ebbets Field with uncommonly strong contrast and clarity for the era. The fabled home of the Brooklyn Dodgers opened it's doors in 1913 and would host some of baseballs' most memorable and important moments in the (40+) years to follow. A period notation on the back relays that the photo was taken in the Spring of 1913, around the time of the first exhibition and regular season games which were played there. Displays at VG level with some light toning and some minor scattered wear evident on the front (most notably a pair of small creases at extreme upper corners. There is a small piece of tape on the back. Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA and noted as "Type I" on the label which also states "Original Contact Photograph...Snapshot...c.1913": VGEstimated Price Range: ($1,000-$1,500)
