Description: Outstanding President Theodore Roosevelt autographed imperial size photograph (Signed as President). Stunning large format albumen portrait of President Theodore Roosevelt posed in a studio setting by noted New York photographers Pach Bros. The image measures 10 1/2"x16" sight size matted within a period wooden frame. Bottom margin of the image has been boldly signed by President Roosevelt in black fountain pen, "To Marziale Sisca with the regards of Theodore Roosevelt Dec 2d 1908". Salutation and signature present beautifully in their original condition against the tan background rating 9 out of 10. The photo itself exhibits outstanding visual appearance with clean surface and contrast. There is a horizontal crease (approx. 7" long) that runs from right edge of border across chin area of Roosevelt that is visible upon close inspection. Lot includes a portion of a 1908 postmarked White House envelope addressed to Marziale Sisca (subject of the photo inscription) who was involved with a prominent Italian publication.
