Description: 2002 Johnny Unitas "Ravens Ring of Honor" presentational football. Wilson P.Tagliabue Official NFL football has a side panel which is finished in white with the NFL shield logo at the center. It has been lettered, "Ravens Ring Of Honor, 19 Johnny Unitas, October 20th, 2002." Unitas had passed just over a month before the October 20th ceremony at which he and several of his Hall of Fame teammates were honored with induction into the Franchise "Ring of Honor." The recognition was in tribute to the contributions Unitas and Co. had made to football in Baltimore. A (13) foot statue of the Colts Legend unveiled that day outside of M&T Bank Stadium was set in an area outside of the main gate renamed "Unitas Plaza." The touching tribute was attended by his widow Sandy to whom this football was presented. In fine overall condition with little mentionable wear. Includes a ticket stub from the game (large tear on one side), a "Ravens VIP" pass which allowed the Unitas Family field access during halftime, and letter of provenance from the Unitas Family: EX/MT-NMEstimated Price Range: ($1,000-$3,000)
