Description: 1972 Johnny Unitas "Outstanding Quarterbacks of The Past Decade" Timmie Award. Impressive figural trophy presented to Johnny Unitas in recognition of his career with Baltimore Colts of the 1960s. Presentational piece stands just over 16" tall with "Touchdown Club of Washington, D.C." logo and "Timmie Award" titling medallions affixed to the base. Below are a pair of engraved placards reading "Touchdown Club Special Award To The Outstanding Quarterbacks of The Past Decade 1972" and "John Unitas." Nice overall condition with a touch of wear to include a few small nicks/chips to the black finish. The Timmie Awards are presented annually across a broad number of categories and are generally considered among the most prestigious given out.
