Description: 1961 "Shooting for 61 in 61" souvenir button with Mantle, Maris, and Ruth. Large 6" diameter celluloid button issued in 1961 to commemorate the epic home run chase by Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris in pursuit of Babe Ruth's record. Light toning with some minor surface wear to front. Pin on back is rusted and the cardboard insert (which could have been punched out to allow the piece to stand freely) has a small flap where the upper surface has peeled away: VG/EXEstimated Price Range: ($1,000-$1,500)
