Description: Nelson Fox professional model baseball bat c.1963. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Fox facsimile signature in the barrel measures 34.5" long and weighs 35.6oz. Factory stamped in the knob is "C12" with this model, in such substantive weight, only noted on ordering records as shipped in 1963. Strong usage wear with ball and contact marks evident throughout the barrel along with a few scattered rack marks. The handle has been shaved down for grip and possibly to reduce weight. In his last of (14) seasons with the White Sox, Fox was winding down a Hall of Fame career during which he earned (3) Gold Gloves, the 1959 A.L. MVP Award, and made (15) All-Star appearances.
