Description: Gale Sayers National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame presentational award. Prestigious and significant award certificate as presented to Gale Sayers in recognition of his outstanding play at the University of Kansas and his election to the National Football Hall of Fame in 1977. The award is of the highest quality measuring 15"x21" in its original gilt frame depicting a central image of Sayers with hand stenciled titling above and content beneath. Dated January 9, 1977 at the bottom and signed by Chairman Fred Russell. Retains its original Balfour manufacturer's label on the reverse which is also evident within the fine worksmanship of the piece itself.
