Description: Fine 1952 Clarence "Biggie" Munn Coach of the Year Award. Exceptionally crafted football presentational figural inkwell and desk set as presented to legendary Michigan State Coach "Biggie" Munn. Black onyx base displays a cast figural metal clock at center with inscribed top panel, "The Bo McMillan Award Trophy Awarded to "Biggie" Munn of Michigan State Coach of the Year Award 1942 Presented by the Detroit Times Downtown Quarteback Club". Two figural football players flank the clock with a siilver plated football affixed to facade. Very light general surface wear remaining in outstanding original condition. Munn was one of the more highly regarded coaches of his era capturing the National Championship with Michigan State in 1952 for which, in part, he was awarded the offered trophy. 17" total width: EX-MTEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$4,000)
