Description: Jim Gilliam 1965 World Series professional model baseball bat. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 35" long and weighs 32oz. Block lettered into the barrel end is "1965 World Series Los Angeles Dodgers" along with impressed Gilliam facsimile signature. Model number "U1" is factory stamped in the knob. Deeply impressed stitch and ball transfer marks are largely confined to the upper barrel and there is some additional wear throughout including a series of small lined up indentations and a green rack streak. Gilliam was a fixture with the Dodgers organization for (14) seasons starting with a Rookie of The Year Award winning performance in 1953. A member of (10) National League Championship winning teams, he played with the club in (7) World Series including (4) in which they emerged Champions (1955, 59, 65, and 66).
