Description: Rare 1887 Louisville Colonels vs. Brooklyn Grays scorecard with Pete Browning. Original scorecard issued for game played at Eclipse Park bewteen the hometown Louisville team and American Association rival Grays. Most notable among participants was Pete Browning, one of the most adept batsman of the 1880s. Garnering the nickname of "Louisville Slugger", Browning was the first player to have his bats custom made instituting a practice which has become the standard to this day. Displays a touch of light toning and wear with a crease to lower front cover which terminates in a small professionally repaired tear.
