Description: Early St. Louis Cardinal photograph album c.1904. Incredible grouping of early photography likely taken in Spring Training of 1904 includes a total of (33) images ranging in size (approx. 2.5"x5" to 6.5"x4.5" with one larger) and mounted to pages from a string bound album. Includes both individual player shots and small groups such as Kid Nichols and Jake Beckely. Most notable is Beckley who, having just joined the team, can be seen in his Cincinnati Reds uniform in two photographs; one being an exceptional shot of him posed with bat. Album (7"x10", string no longer intact) displays very light wear as do the interior pages, photos are all neatly trimmed with very few having any mentionable defects beyond light/mild toning. Affixed to one page inside is a handwritten accounting of the team's roster as prepared by Nichols' daughter: EXEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$4,000)
