Description: Fine Ted Williams autographed professional model baseball bat c.1955-1960. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 35" long and weighs 33oz. Deeply impressed markings include a Williams facsimile signature on the barrel and "W183" is stamped in the knob. Evident usage wear with some scattered contact/cleat marks and minor grain separation. Small remnant visible in knob of what was likely a screw or hook used in prior display. A period "Ted Williams" signature (8 to 8/9 out of 10) serves to place the bat in his hands in the period; an exceptionally desirable trait which very few such examples can boast. Includes signed letter of provenance from a former employee of the Kansas City Athletics stating that he obtained the bat while working in his capacity with the team, full LOA from JSA, and LOA from Hunt Auctions: EXEstimated Price Range: ($20,000-$30,000)
