Description: Exceptional Mark McGwire autographed professional model baseball bat c.1998. Rawlings Big Stick bat with "Mark McGwire Cardinals" block lettered in barrel end has "MAC25" model number stamped in knob along with "769" batch code and "98" year designation. "33 McGwire" ink notation also present. Bat measures 34.5" long and weighs 33.6oz. Usage wear evident throughout inclusive of ball transfer marks, grain swelling to upper barrel, and heavy pine tar on the handle which has been cracked. Although no longer reigning single season homerun Champion, Mark McGwire remains a central figure in the re-emergence of baseball as America's National Pastime. His 1998 season will be forever remembered as one which kept us all on the edge of our seats as this larger than life figure toppled a record which most thought would never be broken. Signed on the barrel in black marker rating 8/9 out of 10.
