Description: UPDATED DESCRIPTION: Babe Ruth single signed baseball c.1931-34. Lightly clear coated and toned Wm. Harridge AL baseball signed by Babe Ruth across the sweet spot in black fountain pen. Signature rates 7 out of 10 displaying nicely with excellent contrast. Ball itself exhibits scattered areas of light toning which appear to be mostly from aging of clear coat. Manfacturer stampings including Harridge facsimile signature (side panel) remain clearly visible. Very fine example being offered for the first time publicly by the family of the original recipient in the 1930s. Due to the shellac coating on the baseball JSA was not able to authenticate the Ruth signature.
