Description: Lot of (36) 1946-49 W603 Sports Exchange All-Star picture file cards, including Ruth, Gehrig & Foxx (VG-NM). Significant lot of (36) different 7"x10" picture file cards were made available through The Sports Exchange Trading Post magazine from 1946 through 1949. The cards, which were spread out over several different series, were among the first produced during the post-war period. Cards have a crisp overall appearance, with most having a slightly bent corner or two as the only defect(s) preventing the cards from attaining higher grades. Lot is loaded with Hall of Famers, most notably Babe Ruth (VG; light print residue on reverse), Ted Williams (VG/EX), Jimmie Foxx (VG/EX), Lou Gehrig (VG/EX), Stan Musial (VG/EX; no bio); Rogers Hornsby (VG/EX) and Joe DiMaggio (EX). Other Hall of Famers included in the lot are Bill Dickey, Bobby Doerr, Bob Feller, Hank Greenberg, Hal Newhouser, Lou Boudreau, Enos Slaughter, Frankie Frisch, Lefty Grove, Carl Hubbell, Hack Wilson and Ralph Kiner.
