Description: Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle autographed baseball with c. 1959 Yankees team signatures (see description). Interesting Spalding W. Giles N.L. baseball started as a c. 1959 Yankees team-signed ball with (25+) signatures that have since largely faded from view. Signatures of Mickey Mantle (sweet spot), Roger Maris (signed over Spalding stamp) and Whitey Ford (signed over Giles N.L. stamp) were then added onto the ball in subsequent years and remain bolder. Visible original signatures include Casey Stengel (clubhouse signature), Enos Slaughter, Bobby Shantz, Andy Carey and others, with likely additional clubhouse signatures present that are difficult to detect due to advanced fading. Mantle, Maris and Ford rate 6/7 out of 10, while original signatures have a general range of 0-2 out of 10 due to fading. Ball has moderate to heavy toning and some areas of scuffing/wear: VG.
