Description: c.1969 "Welcome World Series Visitors" banner done in Mets colors - "World's Fair" lettering visible underneath (EX) Large cloth banner is believed to have hung in New York to welcome visitors to the 1969 World Series. The "World Series" text and baby blue background on which it is positioned was painted over "World's Fair" text, the outline of which can be seen below. We assume that the banner was used in New York for the 1964 World's Fair and later converted for the Series. Mild wear consistent with intended use. Measures 18"x60": EX ($300-$500)Final Bid: $230.00
