Description: 1992 Ted Williams handwritten and signed text for tribute letter to Bobby Orr with Orr signed program (EX-EX/MT, Sigs. NM) September 17, 1992 "All-Star Tribute to Bobby Orr" program features numerous letters written to him in tribute printed throughout. On the Ted Williams page Orr has signed, "Ted, getting to know you has been a great pleasure. You are the best, your friend, Bobby Orr." Williams original handwritten draft of the text of his tribute letter has been written on the back a large 10"x13" envelope which was sent to him earlier that year. Reads "Tonight your honoring one terrific guy. I spent one whole week fishing with him to summer. He seems to always have a project to help someone + thats about as high a compliment as you can get. His place in hockey can never be denied. As a fisherman I still have to do a little coaching to teach him right + left curves when hes dry fly fishing...but he's close to get into fishing Hall of Fame." Signed at the close, "Best old buddy, Ted Williams." Ink handwriting/signatures rate 8 to 9 out of 10. Program displays minor general wear; envelope on which draft of letter is written has soiling/wear throughout. Includes letter of provenance from Claudia Williams: EX-NM, Sigs.
