Very rare 1909-11 T-206 Sherry Magie error card. One of the top three cards in the set the offered example has strong original colors with even wear to corners. Card has no creases and is centered slightly to the left, Piedmont back has two areas of abrasions from scrapbook removal but retains a respectable appearance from the back. This card is the rare variation with Sherry Magee’s last name mispelled “Magie” and seldom does a “fresh” unknown copy become available to the public. In all of the auctions that we’ve had and with the literally tens of thousands of T-206 cards from private and estate collections that we’ve sold this is the first copy of this card in one of our auctions. A difficult card to assign a grade due to back damage but given the clean appearance of the front which would grade a solid VG-EX we assign an overall grade of VG to this rarity.
