| Description: Scarce 1894 Temple Cup stick pin with related "BBC" pin. Incredibly rare pin is the first example we've seen or know to exist featuring raised lettering and date of 1894 with a small player underneath. Under player reads, "It's Ours The Temple Cup" . Appears to be molded brass and is unmarked with regard to manufacturer. 2 1/2" total height: EX. Lot also includes a decorative baseball stick pin with pendant featuring crossed bats and hat from which is suspended a ball shaped pendant with , "BBC" on front. 2" tall: EX. Both pins were obtained nearly 20 years ago from the same estate collection and are being offered for the first time. Great item relating to the famed Temple Cup Championship games possibly issued as a player award or souvenir piece. |
