| Description: 19th century baseball decorative bureau mirror c.1889. Cast metal figural base depicting an early baseball scene in front of wooden post and rail fence. Metal base retains majority of its’ original gilt finish with fine original surface, flag on pole at left has small piece missing from top of pole and back is missing orig. metal easel stand. Mirror is a replacement based upon known originals, marked with 1889 copyright date on reverse. 16” total height, one of only a handful of known examples retaining very rare original paint and surface: VG-EX (With note to missing easel stand and replaced mirror) |
