Superb formal studio portrait of the Father of Negro League baseball Andrew “Rube” Foster who served as a player, manager, and executive in Negro League baseball from 1902 until his death in 1930. Foster was a fine player excelling at several positions but is most remembered for his managerial talents and for founding the Negro National League.
