| Description: Lot of early African American related baseball photographs to include: Roanoke,VA team photo c.1910-15 with (12) players posed in uniform on a field with advertising in background, 21/2”x41/4” on orig. mount: EX and several photographs with relation to the “Garnett Field Club” baseball team c. 1900-05. Group includes (5) sepia tone images mounted on period scrapbook pages incl. team photo posed outdoors with house in background and image of team posed on steps of the Field Club itself. Images measure 6”x8” each and are in fine condition with only light age wear: EX. African American team photographs of this period are very rare in any format. |
