| Description: NY Yankees autographed “Scotty’s Ghosts” album c.1932-34. Unusual hard-bound album with blank 4”x7” pages signed by 16 members of the NY Yankees incl. Ruth, Gehrig, Lazzeri, and Ruffing. As instructed in the front of the book each player signed the page horizontally then folded the page to create a ‘ghosting’ effect. The player then was to sign at the top of the page for identification thus each player has actually signed the book twice. All signatures are in bold blue ink and rate from 8-10 out of 10, several non players have signed at the end of the book. Fascinating vintage autographed item: NM |
