Large and impressive 12 ½”x57” photograph features an expansive interior view of Forbes Field from the vantage of the right field bleachers. The bottom margin hosts cameo portraits of thirty team members incl. McKechnie, Clarke, Cuyler, Traynor, Carey, etc. Titling and the bottom center reads “Pittsburgh Pirates 1925 World Champions, Pittsburgh 4 Games vs. Washington 3 Games – Opening Game at Forbes Field, Pittsburgh, Oct. 7th – Attendance, 41,723”. Photographer’s marks include “Photographs copyright Ralph W. Johnston, 1925” and “Trinity Court Studio 313 Sixth Ave. Pittsburgh, Pa.” Photo remains in remarkable original condition with no visible structural faults.
