| Description: 1889 "The Pennant Winners" New York Base Ball Club porcelain plate. Plate features composite renderings of (20) members of the 1889 championship Giants team incl. Buck Ewing, John Ward, Roger Connor, Tim Keefe, James "Orator Jim" O'Rourke, and Mickey Welch. The Giants were the dominant team of the era with a record of 84-47 in 1888 and 83-43 in 1889. Four small chips affecting the perimeter are the only notable flaws. Manufacturer's mark on back reads "WHM Co." Measures 8" diameter: VG-EX |
