Description: American League baseball attributed to the final game of the 1923 World Series from the O.S.F. collection. Moderately toned Ban Johnson American League baseball with period ink notation on a side panel, "Used in Last World Series Game Oct. 15, 1923". The ball has been signed by Yankees' shortstop Everett Scott on the sweet spot. "Babe Ruth" is written on a side panel likely in Scott's hand along with "Wally Schang" on a side panel. The ball was originally obtained by Scott during the final game in which the Yankees defeated the Giants in Babe Ruth's first World Series appearance as a Yankee.
