Description: Fine 1969 Reggie Jackson Oakland Athletics home jersey. Very clean cream color home flannel vest style jersey as worn by Jackson during the 1969 season. The shirt retains its original green on yellow "A" on the front with original #9 on both front and back. MLB 100th Anniversary patch is affixed to the front under the A's logo. McAuliffe mfg. tag remains on the tail front with "69" year tag and "44" size tag. The jersey remains in outstanding original condition with evident use and wash wear. The 1969 season was the finest statistical year of Jackson's career compiling 47 home runs, 123 runs scored, 118 RBI's, and 36 doubles. The offered jersey was believed to have been worn in the second game of a July 2, 1969 doubleheader in which Jackson belted three home runs in one game. This was the first time in Jackson's storied career that he accomplished that feat. He would repeat this performance during the 1977 World Series in three consecutive at bats, which to date, remains his most noted moment in baseball. One of the finest vintage Jackson uniforms to have become available at auction being offered for the first time publicly. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions, Inc: EX-MT
