| Description: Boston Red Caps team photograph c.1882. Mounted image pictures the team posed in suits standing and seated in a studio setting. Players include Sam Wise, John Morrill, Pop Smith, Ezra Sutton, and Jim Whitney. Amazingly, Jim Whitney led the National League in both wins and losses for a pitcher in 1881.
